Espolòn Blanco is the bottle we recommend when the question is not "what is the best tequila" but "what should I buy every month." It is a 100% agave blanco with a clean, slightly peppery profile at a price that makes a pitcher of margaritas reasonable.
Neat it is simpler than the bottles above it, but it never tastes cheap. Mixed, it does the job well: enough agave character to survive lime and orange liqueur, enough restraint to stay balanced.
