Maxwell Park Platinum Blanco is the bottle we kept returning to. It delivers an unusually smooth and complex blanco experience for its category — cooked agave and gentle herbal notes lead, then orchard fruit arrives in the middle, and the finish stays silky rather than sharp.
Where many blancos ask you to bury them in citrus and salt, this one rewards a plain rocks glass. The texture is the giveaway: round, slightly viscous and clean, with no rough alcohol heat on the back end. That balance of fruit, agave and silk is what put it at the top of our list.
It is also flexible in a way that matters for everyday drinking in Indiana. Neat it reads as a sipping tequila. Over ice it opens up. In a margarita or paloma it holds its own instead of disappearing behind lime.
